As others may understand, I feel that I learn a great deal about life while working through challenges presented by my creative process. I invest as much time into my artwork as possible, seeking to learn, experiment, and express. Although there are many joyous aspects of life, I find myself most content, focused, and productive while in consistent pursuit of my art. In addition to enjoying drawing and painting, I truly feel an irresistible desire to create in this way, and I don’t think I would quite be the same person without such as outlet. Born in Pittsburgh and now a resident of Maryland, April Brown, known as the Art Missionary of BLACCARTZ, has been a mixed medium artist since the year 2000. She has always had a passion for art, but in high school, she discovered her notable medium, acrylic on canvas. Brown, a self taught painter, finds her inspiration from other well known artist, such as Frida Kahlo and Jacob Lawrence, as well as through Black culture in America.
Sarah is an avid hand letterer. She is obsessed with the written word and the majority of her art showcases that. She also enjoys drawing architecture, watercolor painting, and photography.

Is a contemporary artist working in photography. He received an A.A. in Fine Arts from Anne Arundel Community College in 2013 and a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2016. He is a recipient of the Meyer Photography Traveling Fellowship and is working towards pursuing an MFA.
~~Hello, allow me to tell you a little about myself.
I’m retired from a career in Information Technology. I’ve had interest in art since a child. I even took a correspondence course when I was a kid - that’s an online course before the days of the Internet. Lessons, directions, and grades were exchanged via “snail mail”- Communications were slow - sometimes weeks between sending off a lesson and getting any type of response returned. I lost interest before completing the course.
