Overlea ArtsFest, Inc.
Overlea ArtsFest is a free, family-friendly annual festival celebrating local visual and performing art.  Artists and filmmakers of all genres and levels of experience are invited to submit their work to our juried show, which is held on the 2nd weekend of August every year at Holt Park & Center for the Arts.  A diverse group of performance artists, singers, musicians, and spoken word poets are chosen to perform at the event, and free art activities are offered for kids of all ages.

Kyaira
Kyaira is a R&B/Soul singer-songwriter and WAMMIE award winner based in the Greater DC, MD, and VA area. Known for her unique powerhouse vocals and soothing undertones, Kyaira's voice has been compared to legendary artists like Lauryn Hill, Jill Scott, and Ari Lennox. Her voice is like the warm hug you never knew you needed. ​

A painter born in Silver Spring Maryland in 1981 and working in and living in Baltimore, D’Metrius Rice’s work involves a mix-matching of visual elements rooted in a unique visual language of simple geometric forms arranged into compositions that are formal and quasi-narrative. He has shown in New York, Washington, DC, Australia, and Baltimore, with two museum group shows, and in Baltimore and Los Angeles. He has an upcoming solo show and residency at Hancock Solar Gallery in July in Baltimore.

Baakari Wilder
Baakari Wilder is internationally known for starring in the Broadway musical Bring In Da Noise, Bring In Da Funk. He received a Bessie Award for his performance, and later assumed the lead role for a year. He received the Pola Nirenska Award for achievement in dance, and the “Hoofer Award” by the American Tap Dance Foundation. Baakari's dancing has delighted audiences around the world in places such as the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, France, Africa, Brazil, Germany, Japan, and Russia.
