Austin Bean
Since I was a child, I have always had an interest in drawing, my main inspiration coming from artists such as Bob Ross, Jim Lee, and Todd McFarlane. I grew up watching, reading, and learning from these artists. When it came to school, I made it a habit to draw almost non-stop, often filling my notebooks with doodles and scribbles. By high school, I had amassed a library of sketches, and my interest in pursuing higher education in art was peaking. I spent roughly a year working and sending applications to college art programs.
Carrie Lee
I can remember sitting on Grammy Carrie's bed with a box of buttons, a scrap of cloth, a threaded needle and sewing away as long as that thread lasted and asking for more when I came to the end. I remember Grammy Lee giving me needlework kits to stitch, beautiful embroideries and more. I started on the fiber arts road literally as a toddler sewing buttons onto scraps of cloth and it blossomed from there. My parents bought my first sewing machine for me when I was in the 8th grade and I never looked back.
Beth Caruso
Beth Caruso works in a variety of media. Much of her artwork depicts aspects of the self and the body in relation to nature. The imagery in Beth’s artwork is bold and puzzling, as it prompts the viewer to continuously re-examine their perceptions in an effort to make meaning.
