About the Artist

Empress J is a quadruple threat in the entertainment industry. She is a singer, writer, dancer, and actress/producer. Empress founded and is the CEO of Healing Out Loud Theatre & TV Productions, Island Fete Fitness Dance Company, and Empress J Music.   She is CEO and Co-Founder of the AfriCaribbean Festival an international project bringing together the Caribbean and African Cultures. She has tackled the music industry, as well as the poetry scene. Known on the underground music and spoken word scene for her powerful and evoking lyrics, she has acquired an expansive following in the DC Metro area. To her credit she has collaborated and made her songwriting debut on Ginuwine's "The Life"project with her sensual song "Role Play". She had her own band that created a unique sound called “Crunk Rock” a fusion of Rock, Hip Hop, and Reggae.

Artist's Statement

Empress J Entertainment is a company providing entertainment services  within Dance, Dance Fitness, Music, Stage, Film and events.  Our focus is on educating and celebrating the culture of the Caribbean diaspora. EJE is divided into multiple divisions.  Island Fete Fitness is a collaborative group of dancers/ dance-fitness instructors whose goal is to provide a unique inclusive fitness experience.  H.O.L.T. -Healing Out Loud TV/Theatre Productions is a full service stage and TV production house.  H.O.L.T. produces stage plays, web series, industrial videos and event planning services.Empress J Music oversees the Soca/International music Artist Empress J. Erica Joyner Publishing publishes original screenplays, stage plays, lyrics/music and now books.  AfriCaribbean Festival is to bridging waters and borders through music and culture by bringing Soca/Caribbean music and heritage to Africa.
