Britnie Walston
I'm a versatile Maryland artist who captures energy through light and vibrant colors. As a person who grew up near the Chesapeake Bay, her landscapes and abstract work are inspired by the beauty of nature, often depicting the absence of human presence, liberation (“set free”), and freedom (“being free”). She portrays the personality of nature while providing the viewer the opportunity to escape and appreciate all the beauty that surrounds us.
Jessica Rae Powell
Jessica Powell is a Baltimore based Artist and Educator. She works mostly in watercolor and oil painting mediums; however, enjoys the exploration found in layering with mixed media and surface manipulations. From figures to landscape, Jessica explores the quickly changing moments of both the natural world and the human narrative. This fascination with movement and time is revealed in her approach with loose mark marking and use of layers.  Both her experiences as a mother and the love for the outdoors have influenced much of her work as she documents these ever-fleeting moments.
