Hi, I’m Cheri Glover, a visual artist based in Columbia, MD.
Artist-in-residence at the Howard County Arts Capitoline Center in Historic Ellicott City
My work explores color, contrast, and the emotional rhythm of everyday life. I paint in acrylic and mixed media, layering transparent washes with bold marks. Recurring symbols—vessels, eyes, moths—speak to transformation, presence, and impermanence.
Inspired by nature, dreams, and the beauty of being human, art is how I process and make sense of the world.
After 3 decades I’m still excited to witness how art making changes us, how a whole space can become welcoming and inspiring, how all humans, regardless of their age or socio-economic bracket , are deeply impacted by the process of creating. So I’ve led hundreds of mosaic mural installations, mural creations, taught classes, workshops, and retreats in schools, libraries, senior centers, jails, and my home. I’m an artist who explores consciousness, growing myself into a more kind human who understands we’re part of nature.
Originally from Cecil County, I moved to Salisbury, MD at various times since 1993, graduating from Lasell College and Salisbury University. I am a freelance artist who predominantly works in pastel to create portraits and landscapes. My inspiration comes from artists such as Rembrandt and Monet. The type of work I am known for is stylized realism.
I am an active resident of Baltimore City currently working with several, nonprofit organizations to lead art workshops and classes with young people. I am a visual artist and advocate. I am deeply passionate and supportive of Baltimore's DIY music scene. While I am very excited to begin bringing my community practice into that space, I am currently finishing my MFA in Community Arts at MICA, and looking forward to opportunities to showcase my personal art practice which is multidisciplinary.

Artist Statement
My name is Benjamin Baugham; artist name Boy Blue. I am a traditional ink artist by passion and a chalk artist by calling. I have never been formally trained in the arts but I have been divinely gifted with the ability to communicate with others. I devote all my art to Christ, not necessarily in subject but always in my intention. My ink on canvas expresses the darker parts of our nature as people; how complex our flaws can be and how beautiful they become when explained and redeemed. My chalk on pavement expresses the innocence I get to see in each
Working in the industry for 10+ years now. I am a free-lance illustrator and multi medium artist. My works range from Pyrography to digital art. Graduating in 2013 with my BFA in Illustration I am currently on my path to further my education and experience in a tentative MFA program.
