A cultural nomad with many roots I have lived my life at the intersection of cultures. Serendipity brought me to Rockville where I now live and create art.
A multi-media artist with a background in photography and trained in classical oil painting, I have been moving into installation art over the last decade. I transform my photo-based images into interactive and immersive installations often environmental in scope. Playful, they unapologetically appeal to our sense of wonder and invite the viewer into a contemplative space.

Lamar Jones, (b. 1989) is an American painter, whose work reflects contemporary life from a black American's perspective. Through portraiture and mixed media, Jones depicts energetic celebrations of black existence in leisure. His paintings meet somewhere between realistic depiction and raw abstraction, incorporating text, motifs, and symbols rendered on canvas.
I’m a failed physics professor and fiction writer, turned artist only after trying to fit my love of magic into more traditional boxes. Baltimore Native, I fell in love with art at a young age of 5. I attended the Baltimore School for the Arts class of 1987. Fresh out of high school I started working for Penn Advertising painting billboard where I was able to develope my skills even more. After 14 years I decided to try another form of art in the form of culinary arts.
