Floriano co-founded LA's first samba school Embrasamba, created the first Brazilian radio program in the US (The Brazilian Hour), and produced shows by such Brazilian music legends as Gilberto Gil and João Bosco.
Alex Kasten
During a 25-plus year career in communications, Alex Kasten has engaged audiences worldwide – visually, on the web, and in print. His work in sculpture grew naturally from an aptness for observation and interpretation that has been present throughout his life and career – from a childhood spent observing art and artists at work; through an academic interest in cultural Anthropology and the discovery of artifacts; to a professional career that spans multiple media.

Christine Zmuda
I am an abstract painter who enjoys painting larger pieces on canvas. I use acrylic paints, pastels, charcoal, and occasionally spray paint to bring my music-inspired paintings to life. I will occasionally create artwork on paper largely for art studies. My creative process starts first and foremost with the music which informs my palette selection and sets the tone for the energy in the work ahead. After this foundation is established, my work is created through intuitive responses and reactions to music, a love of life, and all its experiences.
Shukri Khan
A self taught artist living in Maryland, USA. Studied graphic design and designed various works including book covers, event flyers, brochures, banners for AMC in different capacities. Khan had an artistic mind ever since young. During school her notebooks were filled with doodles. When coloring with markers did not satisfy her as a child, she started using things around the house which would do the job. Things like food coloring, fabric dyes and spices such as turmeric etc., Khan realized that she prefers hands on work over graphic design. Hence, got back into painting.

In my early years I lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma then moved to Matawan, New Jersey. In 1978 I moved to Chicago, Illinois to attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where I benefited from a very open curriculum which allowed me to work in sculpture, video and performance art.  My main interest, however, was always painting and drawing.
