Melanie D. Coburn
Artist Melanie Denise Coburn draws inspiration from her upbringing in Baltimore City, with its row homes, community and shared walls.  Her artistic journey began with museum visits and art projects led by her mother. Nurtured by her mother’s encouragement of creative exploration, art was an inseparable part of Melanie’s life. Melanie’s continual passion for art led her to the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). Starting in 2007, Melanie shares her love for art as a dedicated teacher at Mercy High School, teaching students in grades 9 through 12.

Drum Dr. Dot is a psychologist, clinical social worker, and Healer Through Music. She is a percussionist, vocalist, harmonicist, dancer, singer-songwriter, author, and co-founder of Nyame Nti Cultural Healing Arts Therapy, Inc. (N-CHAT), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that integrates the fields of mental health and the arts to promote healing. She is the creator of Drumetry (drumming and poetry), a term she coined to describe an art form that integrates two of her passions, African drumming and poetry. Drum Dr.

Randy Is a Ghanaian-American, born in Massachusetts. His love for photography started when he entered college.  His entrepreneurial spirit drove him to start his own photography business. Randy is currently based in Baltimore city. His love for creativity and exploration started at a young age from the influences of his family, late parents and several other creative entrepreneurs. Randy is a recent graduate from Morgan State University. Randy specializes in portrait, lifestyle and creative commercial photography.

Saxophonist Brent Birckhead is an award-winning artist whose aesthetic is an intersectional amalgam of traditional and popular styles. Unbound by genre, Birckhead’s approach to woodwind artistry is driven by his compulsion for creative risk and deep respect for legacy. His place in the continuum of a storied lineage begins with his surname, Birckhead, and extends to his extensive musical education and work ethic as a visionary approach to life as a rising leader.

Denise Kumani Gantt
Denise Kumani Gantt’s plays and performance pieces include meditations/from the ash, winner of the Artscape Best Play Contest and voted Best New Play by The Baltimore Alternative and CityPaper; Three Stories to the Ground, written with Gabriel Shanks and winner of the Theatre Project Outstanding Vision in Theatre award and anatomy/lessons selected as part of Penumbra Theater’s Cornerstone Project (MN). Her play, The Gift, a brief history of everything we have ever known, received staged readings at A Contemporary Theater (ACT-Seattle), The Drama League (New York), and Cape May Stage (NJ).
Baltimore Queer-Scape
Founded in May, 2023 by Darius K. McKeiver (Stealya-Manz Blue), Ryan Michael Haase and Amanda Rife , Baltimore Queer-Scape (Bmore Queer-Scape) is a multidisciplinary, annual, arts festival held in Baltimore City every June in commemoration of LGBTQIA+ Pride month. Bmore Queer-Scape looks to serve the LBTQIA+ community of local artists and patrons in Baltimore City and surrounding areas. Bmore Queer-Scape looks to further its mission by presenting Art-Market Pop-Ups in partnership with other local arts organizations.
