Riya Devi-Ashby
Femininity and feminine performance is a double-edged sword, simultaneously beautiful and violent. Through art, I strives to create meditative and cathartic moments that honor sacred contradictions within the aesthetic and socio-political category of 'feminine'.
Justin G.
Hi! My name is Justin Gaylord and I am an Animation Major at UMBC. Initially, I aspired to be an author, but gradually veered towards making comics and, eventually, animation. I love creating silly stories that imbue a sense of fun and warmth. Whether through traditional or hand-drawn animation, pixel animation, computer graphics or stop motion, I want to try them all! Experimentation is something I strive for in my work, no matter the medium.
shiricohen
My name is Shiri C., and I am an animation major at UMBC with a lifelong passion for visual storytelling. Drawing has been an integral part of my life since I was a child. From my earliest memories of sketching to the art I create today, art has always been my language—a means through which I communicate with the world. I started my journey into digital art eight years ago, teaching myself how to use Photoshop.
