Pierce Scantlin is from Alexandria, Virginia. He attended the Savannah College of Art and Design (BFA) and The New York Academy of Art and currently resides and paints in downtown Frederick, Maryland with his wife, 2 children, 2 Cavalier King Charles spaniels, and 2 parakeets.
Pat Scull is an artist working in the Washington DC area after living in Chapel Hill and Raleigh NC for 30 years. Her work comes from an iconography she has developed over the years, and her exploration of different media.
The Frederick Catoctones chorus is a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society and is a 50+ year tradition of acapella excellence in the Frederick and surrounding communities. From annual shows, pro sports anthems, festivals and community service, the Catoctones strive to bring smiles and appreciation to the genre for years to come.
The City of Frederick is a diverse Main Street community poised to move from arts-friendly to a regional art destination. An hour’s drive from both Washington, DC and Baltimore, Frederick boasts a downtown historic district, seventy-three public parks, and modern infrastructure surrounded by rolling farmland, vineyards, and state parks.
Taurean Washington was born in Fort Worth, Texas in 1985. He received his BA in Studio Art from Hood College in 2012. Washington has exhibited in the US and abroad including shows at Laguna Gallery, in Laguna Beach California, Delaplaine Visual Arts Center in Frederick MD, Hood College in Frederick MD, and several other venues in the DC/Maryland Metropolitan area. His work has been reviewed in The Baltimore Sun, The Frederick News Post, and featured in the Howard County Dragonfly Arts Magazine among other independent blogs and internet publications.
Kari Martindale (M.A., Linguistics) is a poet and spoken word artist who has read at Arts guilds across Maryland and performed at the White House. She has been published in a number of literary journals and anthologies, nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and has received honorable mention in the Writer’s Digest Annual Competition. She sits on the Board of Maryland Writers’ Association and the management team of EC Poetry & Prose.
